I Love Bill….
So last week I had the great fun to go to Young Collectors Night at The New York Winter Antiques Show here in Manhattan.
In truth, it was a really, really lovely evening. Truth also be told, I spent less time looking at antiques and more time chatting with people I know and meeting some new folks. There was, however, one point in the evening when I proceeded to forget I was a 47 year old business man.
That would be when I turned to see Bill Cunningham snapping photos for his column right behind me. Now, everyone knows about my love affair with Bill. Everyone also knows it’s not just me: everyone loves him. Oddly, some guy named Nate Berkus walked right by at the same moment. I think he is a designer or something.
Bill and I both didn’t really notice him. We’re like that, Bill and I.
PS: forgive the less than perfect photo. It’s very hard to take a gushing photo while pretending not to gush.
From Where I Sat … 47 isn’t so bad!
It’s that time of the year.
For anyone who cares to know… (and you know you want to know!), we celebrated my new digits at a wonderful restaurant in Southport: Artisan. Aside from a wonderful setting, the food was amazing. Given how often I rave about food, you ought take note!
To say it was divine is an understatement. To say it is sublime is much more on key. In the event you ever find yourself in these here parts, I do suggest a stop! And do let me know when that happens. Won’t you?
